Local-first browser tools

Four standalone static applications. Each tool is contained in its own folder as a single index.html.

Run

Serve the folder from localhost. Do not open screenmark directly with file://; screen capture requires a secure context.

Open:

• http://localhost:8080/archivard/
• http://localhost:8080/gifsmith/
• http://localhost:8080/screenmark/
• http://localhost:8080/wavtrim/

Notes

• Processing is local. No application backend or telemetry is included.
• archivard, gifsmith, and screenmark fetch pinned browser libraries from jsDelivr when their processing features are first used.
• wavtrim has no runtime library dependency. Its DSP WebAssembly module is embedded in the HTML.
• Browser codec support varies. Chromium-based desktop browsers provide the broadest support for File System Access, WebCodecs, and screen capture.
• A web page cannot observe clicks occurring inside other applications or tabs. In screenmark, click the live preview to add a guided zoom at that position.
